“36-7”  Midnight Star x Right Move
This sow was purchased from RW Genetics and was one of the key foundation sows at Beyers Farms.  She was born in July of 2003.  She is the source of one of the three sow lines that have been successful for us.  At one point in time she had as many as six direct daughters in the herd.  The best daughter we ever had out of her was “4-8”, who was Prenup’s mother.

This sow was a key purchase for us.  She was purchased from Huinker Durocs and was out of the first crop of Totally Wide Open’s.

She contributed at least six daughters to the herd and two are still in production, 6-10 & 31-10.  She would be found in the pedigree of at least 75 percent of the sows in the herd and is the source of one of the three sow lines that have been successful for us.

“4-8”  Casey At Bat x 36-7 Midnight Star

Todd showed this sow the summer of 2005 and she was a class winner at the NJSS.  She is a direct daughter of 36-7 and was a key sow for us.  In her 1st litter she produced “Raging Bull”, our class winning boar at the 2006 STC that sold to PSSS for $3,500.  Her 2nd litter she produced “Prenup”, our Champion Duroc weanling male at the 2006 Fall Classic that sold to Purple Power Boar Stud for $4,700.  There was also a littermate gilt the was shown very successfully and was very popular at OYE.  In her 3rd litter she produced the Reserve Champion Duroc Gilt at the 2007 NJSA Eastern Regional.  In her 4th litter she produced “Prenup 2” who was purchased privately by Purple Power Boar Stud off the farm.  “4-8” is in the pedigree of every sow on the farm with the exception of a few purchased sows.
